Our Rose Petal Story

When we hit our first month of officially dating, we decided to celebrate!! Dan planned a dinner and got a single red rose to place on our dinner table. He, unbeknownst to Sarah, saved that rose and dried the petals after it had lived it's life on his kitchen table. When our next month anniversary came around, Sarah suggested we get a new colored rose to add to our first red one and so began our monthly tradition. Each month we would purchase the amount of roses we were celebrating the month of and each month we made a new color. Month One was a single red rose, Month Two was a red plus a yellow, and so on and so forth... Some months we had to get crafty and a little scientific to dye our roses. Through the course of the year, we collected rose petals and dried them each month, pressed under books for preservation. We have all those rose petals today for our flower girl to throw before Sarah walks down the aisle, and this romantic touch is just one of the special pieces and personal touches we have incorporated into our special day.
